During my time in the Ohio University School of Visual Communication, I worked on a variety of engaging projects that challenged me creatively and strategically. Each assignment helped me strengthen my skills and explore different areas of visual storytelling. I also gained valuable experience collaborating with others and receiving thoughtful critiques that taught me the value of creative flexibility and problem-solving skills I now carry into every new project I take on involving the creative process.

Athens Mental Health Center Mega-Infographic

For this project, my partner and I collaborated with the Ohio University Library Archives to research and compile historical data into a large-scale infographic highlighting the nurses and staff at the Athens Mental Health Center. We presented our work at the Ohio University Student Expo in April 2025 and were honored to receive an Award of Excellence in the Student Work category from the Society for News Design.

VIS Magazine

This project was a collaborative magazine created by students in my capstone VISCOM class. I was partnered with a photography student and given the freedom to art direct, write, and design the pages we contributed. I coordinated models and props to bring my creative vision to life, and later designed three covers and two spreads to match the overall concept.

Glassware Magazine

This magazine project was part of my advanced publication design course, where I collaborated with a photography student to create one cover and one spread for a fake issue of Glassware Magazine. The creative challenge was to use the shapes and angles of various glassware to design a visually compelling layout, while my partner focused on experimenting with lighting techniques to photograph glass. Together, we sourced materials and art directed a styled shoot based on a fictional cocktail featuring Tito’s Vodka, bringing both our design and photography concepts to life.

Pulitzer Prize Infographic

For this project, I was tasked with creating an infographic on a topic related to the Pulitzer Prize. I chose to explore gender representation by focusing on male vs. female winners of the Pulitzer Prize for Music. My design centered around a timeline highlighting all recipients, notable winners, and the distribution of awards by genre.
